Joseph Soffer has been practicing law for more than 30 years. His reputation as a compassionate and good listener comes from taking the time to understand his clients’
needs.
He makes every effort to resolve issues as amicably as possible while ensuring that his clients’ get everything they are entitled to. Mr. Soffer graduated from New York University in 1984 with a major in Politics. While attending college, he worked for a Trademark and Patent firm. Protecting trademarks for clients like Rolex, First Nationwide Savings Bank, and Joujou designs was a critical part of his job.
After graduating from Tulane University Law School in 1987, he was admitted to the New York State and Connecticut Bar Associations. He is also admitted to the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York Federal Court Bars as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit of New York. Immediately after graduating law school, Joseph began working as an Assistant District Attorney for the Nassau County District Attorney’s office in New York.
After three years of prosecuting criminals, Mr. Soffer pursued private practice. He worked for a law firm where he gained invaluable experience handling all aspects of the law. Legal matters involving personal injury, matrimonial, real estate, and criminal defense work were all part of his responsibility.
In 1991 Mr. Soffer formed his own firm which focused on matrimonial and divorce matters. Today, he is a member of several renowned organizations including the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, New York Criminal and Civil Bar Association, National Association of Divorce Practitioners, New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Now, Joseph brings his wealth of knowledge, experience, education and training to Florida where he was admitted to practice law in 2023.
